Cold Forming Machines:
(25) National cold forming headers with part forming capabilities. Core product range of mid to large diameter (M8 to M36), with 8mm to 335mm component lengths. Peak production made 1000’s of pcs per day of large diameter components. Support includes un-coilers, wire drawers and lots more
Component Finishing Operations:
(30) Thread rollers by Hartford, Waterbury Farrel, Reed, Kinefac and Pee Wee; Wide assortment of shaving, pointing and straightening machines, plus automatic grinding stations, slurry finishing and burnishing systems; Massive inventory of machined product tooling, as well as virgin tool steel.
Heat Treating Department
Includes (10) Heat treat furnace lines with Surface Combustion, Standard Fuel Engineering and Induction Process Equipment furnaces; (12) Induction hardening and tempering lines including Bone Frontier, Radyne, Tocco other OEM’s; plus Wheelabrator & Jet tumble-blasts and deburring machines.
CNC Machining & Tool Manufacturing
Over (100) assorted machines including CNC turning centers for drilling, broaching, burnishing, and tight tolerance machining. In addition to component machining, The Rockford Tool Group produced tool sets for production floor headers and threaders, with over 900 assorted tooling sets in stock.
Production Support Equipment
Partial listing includes verification operations with Mectrons laser inspection stations and crack detect machines; full tool room cribs for all of the above; 100’s of stacking metal parts bins; mobile material handling trucks and motor vehicles; huge spare parts inventory; shipping and receiving departments.
